The destrict o Bautzen (German: 'Landkreis Bautzen', Upper Sorbian: 'Wokrjes Budyšin') is a destrict in the state o Saxony in Germany. Its lairgest touns are Bautzen, Bischofswerda, Kamenz, Hoyerswerda an Radeberg. It is the biggest destrict in Saxony in aurie, an is a member o the Neisse Euroregion.

The destrict wis established in 1994 bi mergin the umwhile destricts o Bautzen an Bischofswerda. The district o Kamenz an the destrict-free ceety o Hoyerswerda wur mergit intae the destrict in August 2008.

The Spree river enters the destrict frae the sootheast an runs through Schirgiswalde an Bautzen afore leavin tae the north. North o Bautzen, the river is dammed bi a reservoir (Talsperre Bautzen, 5.5 km²).
