It haes a wide muith uised for grazin an is the maist social o aw rhino species. The white rhinoceros consists o twa subspecies: the soothren white rhinoceros, wi an estimatit 17,460 wild-livin ainimals at the end o 2007 (IUCN 2008), an the much rarer northren white rhinoceros. The northren subspecies haes very few remainin, wi seven confirmed individuals left, wi anly fower still able tae reproduce (Includin those in captivity).
