Taishu-kai
The Taishu-kai (太州会 Taishū-kai) is a yakuza organisation based in Fukuoka Prefectur on the Kyushu island o Japan, wi a estimatit 180 active members.[1]

The Taishu-kai wis formit aroond 1954 unner the name "Ota Group" (太田グループ Ōta Gurūpu) bi Kuniharu Ota (太田 州春 Ōta Kuniharu), a minewirker who became the first preses. The Ota Group wis later renamit the "Ota-gumi" (太田組 Ōta-gumi), an again renamit the "Taishu-kai" in Mey 1973. Yoshihito Tanaka (or Yoshito Tanaka) succeedit Ota in Dizember 1991.[2]

Heidquairtered in Tagawa, Fukuoka,[1] the Taishu-kai is ane o the five independent Fukuoka-based designatit yakuza syndicates, alang wi the Kudo-kai, the Dojin-kai, the Fukuhaku-kai an the Kyushu Seido-kai.[3]
The Taishu-kai is a member o an anti-Yamaguchi-gumi fraternal federation, the "Yonsha-kai", alang wi the Kitakyushu-based Kudo-kai, the Kurume-based Dojin-kai an the Kumamoto-based Kumamoto-kai.[4]
