A separate destrict, Nou Barris, includes some o the umwhile aurie o Sant Andreu de Palomar.

Its size is 653 ha. (third destrict in size) an it haed 142,598 inhabitants in 2005. It is in the northren pairt o the ceety, borderin the river Besòs, twa adjacent touns in the metropolitan aurie, Sant Adrià de Besòs an Santa Coloma de Gramenet, an three ither destricts o Barcelona: Nou Barris, Horta-Guinardó an Sant Martí.
