San Borja is the seat o the San Borja Municipality, the seicont municipal section o the José Ballivián Province.[2] The toun is locatit at an elevation o 197 m on the left bank o Río Maniqui, a tributar o Río Rapulo which flows intae Río Mamoré.

Towards the east o San Borja Route 3 leads tae San Ignacio de Moxos an farther tae Trinidad, the caipital o the Beni Depairtment.
