Mangifera is a genus o flouerin plants in the cashew faimily, Anacardiaceae. It contains approximately 69 species, wi the best-kent bein the Common Mango (Mangifera indica). The centre o diversity is in subtropical an tropical sootheast Asie, while the heichest nummer o species occur in the Malay Peninsula, Borneo, an Sumatra. Thay are generally canopy trees in lawland rainforests, reachin a hicht o 30–40 m (98–131 ft).[2]
