The Unitit Naitions Interim Admeenistration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) formally re-established the municipality o Mališevo in Julie 2000. Ane such incident occurred in Mališevo, the execution o nae fewer than seiven Serbie men, namit the Mališevo Massacre. The UN-run Office on Missing Persons and Forensics began the excavations at the steid in Mey 2005.
