It is bordered on the north bi Gijón an Corvera de Asturias, on the sooth bi Oviedo, on the east bi Gijón an Siero, an on the wast bi Illas an Las Regueras. Its caipital is locatit 11 km frae Oviedo, 20 km frae Avilés, an 22 km frae Gijón.
