Kobela, Estonie

Kobela is a smaw burgh (Estonie: alevik) in Võru Coonty, in sootheastren Estonie, locatit aboot 3 km (2 mi) northwast o the toun o Antsla, near the Loch Vahtsõkivi. As o 2011 Census, the dounset's population wis 313.[1]

Kobela smaw burh wis establisht in 1977 frae Boose an Määrastu veelages an pairts o Lusti an Madise veelages. The dounset that previously beared the name Kobela wis renamit tae Vana-Antsla.[2]

Kobela is first mentioned in 1405 as Kowol. Later that aurie wis dividit intae several veelages an some cattle manors wur establisht (Anne, Boose, Näsimetsa).[2]

The nouadays dounset developit when the "Linda" kolkhoz' centre wis biggit in the 1970s. The maist notable biggin is the Linda civic centre, umwhile uised as the admeenistrative an club biggin o the kolkhoz; airchitect Toomas Rein (1973).[2]
