Kangasala
Kangasala is a municipality in Finland, next to Tampere. It wis foondit in 1865. The municipality haes a population o 29,738 (31 Januar 2011) an covers an aurie o 870.85 square kilometres (336.24 sq mi) o which 212.83 km2 (82.17 sq mi) is water.[1] The population density is 45.19 inhabitants per square kilometre (117.0 /sq mi).
It is famous for its natural beauty, as depictit bi Zacharias Topelius in his poem Kesäpäivä Kangasalla (made intae a sang bi Gabriel Linsén). It is an aa kent for its mansions, such as Liuksiala whaur Swadish queen Karin Månsdotter lived, an Wääksy. Kangasala haes a lang history o tourism.
The lakes Roine, Längelmävesi an Vesijärvi are locatit in Kangasala. O these the twa first are mentioned in the famous poem, an Vesijärvi is the lake bi which the scenic owerlook described in the leerics is situatit.
The municipality o Sahalahti wis consolidatit tae Kangasala on 1 Januar 2005, an the municipality o Kuhmalahti on 1 Januar 2011.[2]
