The kakapo (Māori: kākāpō or nicht parrot), Strigops habroptila (Gray, 1845), cried houlet parrot an aw, is a species of lairge, flichtless, nocturnal, grund-dwellin parrot o the super-faimily Strigopoidea endemic tae New Zealand.[2]
