Born in Portici, ootside Naples he wis gien the teetle Duke o Calabrie (title for the heir tae the throne o Naples) at birth. He never became king due tae the disabilities he haed sae the throne went tae his younger brither Infant Carlos. He wis named in honour o his grandfaither Keeng Philip V o Spain.
