As o 2008, the ceety haes an estimatit population o 132,208 an a population density o 617 bodies per km². The total aurie is 214.13 km².
On 26 Mairch 2006, Iizuka absorbit the touns o Chikuho, Honami, Kaita an Shōnai (aw frae Kaho Destrict) tae create the new an expandit ceety o Iizuka.
