Hochsauerlandkreis (meanin "Heicher Sauerland Destrict" in German) is a Kreis (destrict) in the east o North Rhine-Westphalie, Germany. Neebourin destricts are Soest, Paderborn, Höxter, Waldeck-Frankenberg, Siegen-Wittgenstein, Olpe, Märkischer Kreis.

The destrict wis established in 1975 in the reorganization o the destricts in North Rhine-Westphalie bi mergin the previous destricts Arnsberg, Brilon an Meschede.

Geographically the destrict covers a big pairt o the Sauerland muntains, includin the twa heichest elevations - the Langenberg near Olsberg wi 843m, an the better kent Kahler Asten wi 842m near Winterberg.
