Île de Gorée (i.e. "Gorée Island"; (French pronunciation: [ildəɡoʁe]) is ane o the 19 communes d'arrondissement (i.e. destricts) o the ceety o Dakar, Senegal. It is an 18.2-hectare (45-acre) island locatit 2 kilometre (1.1 nmi; 1.2 mi) at sea frae the main harbor o Dakar (14°40′0″N 17°24′0″W / 14.66667°N 17.40000°W).
