Català: Representació de l'escut de Llívia, Girona, Espanya. Pintat en blau, verd i vermell, representa la població de Llívia arrecerada al peu del puig del mateix nom, coronat pel vell castell protector, al qual l'uneix un camí que puja fins a la fortalesa, evocador del seu origen remot. Fora del camper, al costat dret de la part superior, apareix un personatge, dempeus i barbut, abillat amb una túnica de color verd i un mantell vermell, que porta a la má dreta una mena de ceptre (o potser una clava?). El nom ERCULES que acompanya aquesta figura permet d'identificar-lo amb el famós heroi de la mitología grega, a qui una antiga llegenda atribuía la fundació de Llívia,'* i a la qual fa també allusió la inscripció en lletres majúscules que en forma d'orla emmarca l'escut i la figura susdita: LIVIUM OPPIDUM EST ÍNTER PIRENEORUM CONVALLES MONTIUM PROVINCIA CATALONIA ET CERITANIA REGIONIS AB ERCULE LÍBICO ANTE XPISTUM NATUM 1678.

Español: Representación del escudo de Llívia, Girona, España. Pintado en azul, verde y rojo, representa la población de Llívia resguardada al pie del cerro del mismo nombre, coronado por el viejo castillo protector, el cual lo une un camino que sube hasta la fortaleza, evocador de su origen remoto. Fuera del campo, al lado derecho de la parte superior, aparece un personaje, de pie y barbudo, atabiado de una túnica de color verde y un manto rojo, que lleva en la mano derecha un tipo de cetro (¿o quizá una clava?). El nombre ERCULES que acompaña la figura permite identificarlo con el famoso héroe de la mitología griega, a quien la antigua leyenda atribuía la fundación de Llívia, y a la cual hace también alusión la inscripción en letras mayúsculas que en forma de orla enmarca el escudo y a la figura arriba mencionada: LIVIUM OPPIDUM EST ÍNTER PIRENEORUM CONVALLES MONTIUM PROVINCIA CATALONIA ET CERITANIA REGIONIS AB ERCULE LÍBICO ANTE XPISTUM NATUM 1678.
