History

Formed in 1997 as a daith metal baund bi vocalist Johannes Prem, guitarist Sebastian Reichl an drummer Tobias Graf, they released the 7" vinyl Deadlock in 1999. Efter this came the EP I'll Wake You, When Spring Awakes in 2000.

2002 saw the release o their first album, The Arrival. The album featured keyboards, an guest clean vocals frae Sabine Weniger.

Their seicont album, Earth.Revolt wis released in 2005. The baund haed expandit frae a quartet tae a sax-piece wi new guitarist Gert Rymen an Sabine Weniger nou a full-time member o the baund.

Their third album, Wolves, wis released in 2007, an featured techno beats. The track "Code of Honor" wis turned intae their first muisic video. They launched a tour in support o "Wolves" through Europe alangside Neaera an Maintain.

Their fowert studio album, Manifesto, wis released in November 2008. The sang "Deathrace" features rappin, while the sang "Dying Breed" features clean vocals frae umwhile Scar Symmetry vocalist Christian Älvestam, an the sang "Fire at will" haes a saxophone solo. It an aa includes a cover o The Sisters of Mercy's "Temple of Love". The track "The Brave/Agony Applause" is the first single o the album an haes a muisic video. They promotit "Manifesto" bi playin ane new sang o the album each day on their MySpace till its European release.

Deadlock annoonced on a MySpace bulletin on December 12, 2008 that they haed pairtit ways wi Thomas Huschka (bassist), citin "muisical an personal differences". On Mey 7, 2009, they annoonced John Gahlert as their new bassist.

On 2010, Sabine Weniger wis guest vocals an Sebastian Reichl wis guest guitar in the album Invictus bi the German baund Heaven Shall Burn in the sang "Given in Death".

Deadlock hae recently completit their new album Bizarro World, which is due oot in Februar 2011 [1]
