Cercs is a municipality in the comarca of the Berguedà in Catalonie. It is seetuate on the richt bank o the Llobregat river abuin the Baells reservoir. It is the steid o a important pouer station that burns the lignite that is extract at Fígols an Saldes. The toun is servit bi the C-1411 road atween Berga an the Cadí tunnel.

The preroman kirk o Sant Quirze de Pedret is the source o twa pentit conjunts, that is nou displayed at the diocean museum in Solsona an in the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya in Barcelona. The remains o the monastery o Sant Salvador de la Vedella is visible on a brae emergin in the middle o the Baells reservoir.

The Cercs Mine Museum is locate in the Sant Corneli colony, in the Cercs municipal aurie.
