Bursa Province (Turkis: Bursa ili) is a province in wastren Turkey, alang the Sea o Marmara. Its adjacent provinces are Balıkesir tae the wast, Kütahya tae the sooth, Bilecik an Sakarya tae the east, Kocaeli tae the northeast an Yalova tae the north. The province haes an area o 11,043 km2 an a population o 3,187,000 (2010 est). It wis 2,125,140 accordin tae the 2000 census. In 1990 it haed a population o 1,603,137. The traffic code is 16. The ceity o Bursa wis the caipital o the Ottoman State till the conquest o Edirne. Maist pairt o the province remained in Marmara Region except destricts o Büyükorhan, Harmancık, Keles an Orhaneli, who are bundit tae Aegean Region.
