The aurochs (pl. aurochs, or rarely aurochsen, aurochses), cried urus, ure (Bos primigenius) an aw, is an extinct species o muckle wild cattle that inhabitit Europe, Asie, an North Africae. It is the auncestor o domestic cattle. The species survived in Europe till the last recordit aurochs dee'd in the Jaktorów Forest, Poland, in 1627.
