The alkaline yird metals are sax chemical elements in column (group) 2 o the Periodic cairt. Thay are beryllium (Be), magnesium (Mg), calcium (Ca), strontium (Sr), barium (Ba), an radium (Ra).[1] The elements hae very seemilar properties: thay are aw shiny, sillery-white, somewhit reactive metals at staundart temperatur an pressur.[2]
