Howard G. "Ward" Cunningham (born 26 Mey 1949[1]) is an American computer programmer who developit the first wiki. A pioneer in baith design patterns an extreme programmin, he stairtit programmin the software WikiWikiWeb in 1994 an instawed it on the wabsteid o his software consultancy, Cunningham & Cunningham (commonly kent by its domain name, c2.com), on 25 Mairch 1995, as a add-on tae the Portland Pattern Repository.

He currently lives in Beaverton, Oregon, an is a programmer at New Relic.[2] Previously he was the Co-Creation Czar for CitizenGlobal.[3] He is Nike's first Code for a Better World Fellow.[4]
