Ryūnosuke Akutagawa (芥川 龍之介, Akutagawa Ryūnosuke, 1 Mairch 1892 – 24 Julie 1927) wis a Japanese writer active in the Taishō period in Japan. He is regairdit as the "Faither o the Japanese short story" an Japan's premier leeterary awaird, the Akutagawa Prize, is named efter him.[1] He committit suicide at the age o 35 throu an owerdose o barbital.[2]
