In Merseburg on 13 Februar 1677 Christiane mairit Duke Christian o Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg. Both belonged tae the Hoose o Wettin: she wis a member o the Albertine line while her husband belonged tae the Ernestine branch. The couple settled in Eisenberg at the Christianburg Castle. Technically, she never became Duchess o Saxe-Eisenberg, because her husband anly officially received these land as a ruler in 1680, ane year efter her daith.
