In vascular plants, phloem is the livin tishie that cairies organic nutrients (kent as photosynthate), in parteecular, sucrose,[1] a succar, tae aw pairts o the plant whaur needit. In trees, the phloem is the innermaist layer o the bark, hence the name, derived frae the Greek wird φλοιός (phloios) meanin "bark". The phloem is concerned mainly wi the transport o soluble organic material made during photosynthesis. This is cried translocation.
