On 30 Mairch 2011, President Thein Sein appyntit Thein Nyunt as chairman o the Naypyidaw Council, alang wi 9 chair members: Than Htay, Colonel Myint Aung Than, Kan Chun, Paing Soe, Saw Hla, Myint Swe, Myint Shwe an Myo Nyunt.[5]
