Maria II o Portugal
Maria II o Portugal (Maria da Glória Joana Carlota Leopoldina da Cruz Francisca Xavier de Paula Isidora Micaela Gabriela Rafaela Gonzaga; 4 Aprile 1819 – 15 November 1853) cried "the Educator" (Portuguese: "a Educadora") or "the Good Mither" (Portuguese: "a Boa Mãe"), reigned aa Queen o Portugal frae 1826 tae 1828, an again frae 1834 tae 1853. Born in Rio de Janeiro, she wis the first bairn o Emperor Pedro I o Brazil an his first wife, Empress Empress Maria Leopoldina an thus a member o the Hoose o Braganza. One of the two surviving children born when Pedro was still heir apparent tae Portugal, she inherited Portuguese teetles and wis placed in the line o succession to the former Portuguese throne, even after becoming a member o the Brazilian Imperial Faimily, frae which she wis excluded in 1835 after her definitive ascension to the Portuguese throne.
