Maria Fortunata d'Este (24 November 1731 – 21 September 1803) wis a Princess o the duchy o Modena. She wis a great-granddaughter o Louis XIV through her mother (who wis a granddaughter o Louis XIV an Madame de Montespan) She wis born in Modena, Italy an would mairy a cousin o her mither's frae the French ryl coort at Versailles. She wis Princess o Conti bi mairiage but haed nae childer. She wis known as Marie Fortunée in fraunce. She wis also asked tae present her niece Louise Marie Adélaïde de Bourbon, Mademoiselle de Penthièvre tae coort in 1768. She also haed a good relationship with her niece The Princess o Lamballe. During the french Revolution she wis exiled frae fraunce with her niece Adélaïde d'Orléans, an died in Venice.

She would mairy Louis François Joseph de Bourbon, Prince o Conti. The mairiage contract wis signed in Milan on 3 January 1759 bi the French ambassador tae the coort o Turin. A wedding bi proxy took place in Milan on 7 Februar the same year. It wis celebrated in person on the 27th o Februar at Nangis-en-Brie in Fraunce. Upon her mairiage she wis styled as the Coontess o La Marche (Comtesse de La Marche) Her sister Princess Maria Teresa d'Este o Modena haed mairit Louis Jean Marie de Bourbon, Duke o Penthièvre in 1744.
