Lumbinī (Nepali an Sanskrit: लुम्बिनी Aboot this soondlisten , "the luvely") is a Buddhist pilgrimage steid in the Rupandehi Destrict o Nepal. It is the place whaur, accordin tae Buddhist tradeetion, Queen Mayadevi gae birth tae Siddhartha Gautama in 563 BCE.[1][2]
