Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (/ms/ MEES; German: [miːs]; born Maria Ludwig Michael Mies; Mairch 27, 1886 – August 17, 1969) wis a German-American airchitect.[1] He is commonly referred tae an wis addressed as Mies, his surname.
