Komotini
Komotini (Greek: Κομοτηνή, Turkis: Gümülcine) is a ceety in Thrace, northeastren Greece. It is the caipital o the region o East Macedonie an Thrace an o the Rhodope regional unit. It wis the admeenistrative centre of the Rhodope-Evros super-prefectur till its abolishment in 2011. The ceety is hame tae the Democritus University o Thrace, foondit in 1973. Komotini is hame tae a sizeable Muslim minority, which constitutes 45% o the ceety's population.[2]
