Hoose o Grimaldi

The Hoose o Grimaldi (/ɡrɪˈmɔːldi/ grim-AWL-dee, also UK: /-ˈmæl-/ -⁠AL-, US: /-ˈmɑːl-/ -⁠AHL-, Italian: [ɡriˈmaldi]) is associated with the history o the Republic o Genoa, an o the Principality o Monaco. The Grimaldi dynasty is a princely hoose originating in Genoa, founded bi the Genoese leader o the Guelphs, Francesco Grimaldi, wha in 1297 took the lairdship o Monaco along with his soldiers dressed as Franciscans. In that principality his successors have reigned to the present day. During much o the Ancien Régime the familie spent much o its time in the French coort, where from 1642 they uised their French teetle o Duke o Valentinois. The current head o the familie is Albert II o Monaco, Sovereign Prince o Monaco, son an successor o Prince Rainier III and the princess consort Grace o Monaco, formerly Grace Kelly.
