Deutsch: Das Wappen entstammt dem des Stiftes Münster und wurde erstmals um 1450 nachgewiesen; mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit kommt es bereits auf einem Siegel des Antoniushospitals in Münster von 1368 vor. Zur Unterscheidung wurde der untere Teil des Wappens nicht golden sondern silbern tingiert. Näheres siehe hier.
English: The arms are derived from the arms of the Prince-Bishopric of Münster, for distinction the base was tinged Argent, although in a seal of the Antonius hospital from 1368 it is first shown.
