The Bourbons o the Twa Sicilies also cried the Bourbons o Naples are a cadet branch o the Spaingie ryal faimily that ruled parts o Southern Italy for mair nor a century in the 18t an 19t centuries. It descends frae the Capetian dynasty in legitimate male line through Philippe o Fraunce, Duke o Anjou, a younger grandson o Louis XIV o Fraunce who established the Bourbon dynasty in Spain in 1700 as Philip V. In 1759 King Philip's younger grandson Infante Carlos o Spain conquered Naples an Sicily becoming recognised as the keeng o the twa states. He abdicatit tae become King o Spain leaving the throne tae his son later kent as the King o the Twa Sicilies. The branch wis technically founded bi Ferdinand I o the Twa Sicilies who inherited the twa kinrick o Naples an Sicily, becoming Ferdinando IV an III, respectively, o those realms. His descendants occupied the joint throne (renamed "Kinrick o the Twa Sicilies" in 1816) until 1860.
