Acanthopterygii (meanin "spiny finned ane") is a superorder o bony fishes in the class Actinopterygii. Members o this superorder are an aa kent as the ray-finned fishes for the characteristic sharp, bony rays in thair fins; however this name is an aa eften gien tae the class Actinopterygii as a whole.
