Absolute zero is defined tae be −273.15°C, or 0 K.

Absolute zero is the lawest temperatur possible. Mair formally, it is the temperatur at which entropy reaches its minimum value. The laws o thermodynamics state that absolute zero cannae be reached uisin anly thermodynamic means. A seestem at absolute zero still possesses quantum mechanical zero-pynt energy, the energy o its grund state. The kinetic energy o the ground state cannae be removed.

The zero pynt o ony thermodynamic temperatur scale, such as Kelvin or Rankine scale, is set at absolute zero. Bi internaitional agreement, absolute zero is defined as 0K on the Kelvin scale an as −273.15° on the Celsius scale.[1][2] This equates tae −459.67° on the Fahrenheit scale[3] an 0 R on the Rankine scale.[2] Scientists hae achieved temperaturs extremely close tae absolute zero, whaur matter exhibits quantum effects such as superconductivity an superfluidity.
