Staroselye

Staroselye (Roushie: Старосе́лье, Finnish: Keskikylä) is a veelage on Karelian Isthmus, in Vyborgsky Destrict, Leningrad Oblast, locatit at the heid o Zagorsky gulf, Lake Glubokoye.

Afore 1939, it bore its finnish name an wis a pairt o Viipuri Province, Finland. It an aw consistit o fower lesser veelages: Jääskelä, Norkkola, Orola, Pyykkölä. In 1948 Jääskelä wis renamit tae Voskhod, efter a kolkhoz o the same name, which haes been locatit in the veelage. Suin efter it wis renamit again tae Staroselye. The new name wis suin spread on the whole Keskikylä. On 13 Januar 1949 it wis confirmit bi the Presidium o Supreme Soviet o Roushie.
