On ane o the airms o the cross wur twa little bird nests o a bird cried joão de barro, ane on top o the ither, formin a little twa-storey hoose—a sobradinho in Portuguese. This phenomenon attractit the attention o passersbi who teuk it as a reference point wi the name Cross o Sobradinho or Sobradinho o the Cross. As time went bi the local stream wis cried Sobradinho Stream.
