Creeticisms includit latency issues wi the online multiplayer, odd pheesics glitches, an the lack o freestyle tricks in baith the PS3 an Xbox 360 versions o the gemme (although it is possible tae dae lip tricks acause o the unique grind ingine built intae the gemme).[6] Housomeivver, IGN hae syne editit their review o Skate, deletin the paragraph tae dae wi complaints o the PS3 version being wirse than the 360 version, efter sources on the internet lead them tae believe there is nae difference atween the twa versions o the gemme, despite uiser reviews. IGN haes no chyngit the scorin for the PS3 version o Skate. GameSpot gave it a 7.5 for the Xbox 360 version o the gemme[7] an a 7.0 for the PS3 version.[8] The reviews praised the game for a guid stairt an innovation, but wis creeticized for the in-gemme advertisin an product placement. . This resultit in its 0.5 lawer score. GameSpy gave it a 5 starn ratin for the 360 version, praisin it for the control scheme, presentation, expansive environments, audio, an amoont o content.           In September 2009, EA annooncit the third instawment in the Skate franchise, Skate 3, which wis released on the PlayStation 3 an Xbox 360 in Mey 2010. The gemme is set in a new fictional ceety cried Port Carverton. New gameplay features include the ability to perform dark slides an unnerflips an Skate 3 haes a stranger emphasis on online team play than the previous gemmes.[14]
