In 1929 a new Rhein-Wupper destrict wis creatit, while several municipalities wur incorporatit intae the ceeties Wuppertal, Remscheid an Solingen. 1932 the destricts Mülheim an Wipperfürth wur mergit tae form the auld Rheinisch-Bergische Kreis. Feenally, in 1975 maist aurie o the twa destricts Rhein-Wupper an Rheinisch-Bergisch was mergit tae form the current destrict.
