Puma is a genus in Felidae that contains the cougar (forby kent as the puma, amang ither names) an the jaguarundi, an mey include several puirly kent Auld Warld fossil representatives (for ensaumple, Puma pardoides, or "Owen's panther," a lairge cougar-lik cat o Eurasie's Pleistocene) an aa.[2][3]
