The Politics of Campanie, taks place in a framework o a presidential representative democracy, whereby the President of the Regional Government is the head of government, an of a pluriform multi-pairty system. Executive power is exercised by the Regional Government. Legislative power is vested in both the government and the Regional Council.
The Regional Council of Campanie (Consiglio Regionale della Campania) is componed o 60 members, o whilk 47 is elected in provincial constituencies wi proportional representation, 12 frae the sae-cawed "regional elite" o the electit President an the last ane is for the candidate for President wha comes seicont wha uisually becomes the leader o the opposition in the Council. Gif a coalition wins mair nor 55% of the vote, anither 6 candidates frae the "regional elite" will be electit an the nummer o thaim that's electit in provincial constituencies will be 53.[4]
