Amealco is a municipality in the Mexican state o Querétaro. Its name is thocht tae mean place o springs in Nahuatl. The municipality seat, cried Amealco forby, is locatit 63 km sootheast o Santiago de Querétaro. Its elevation is 2,605 meters abuin sea level, an the annual temperatur ranges frae 15 tae 20 °C.
